More than just a cup

Together with the Ronald Mcdonald House charity, McCafé At Home, the Keurig Dr Pepper group & Havas New York we are pleased to showcase out latest work. Conceived by Havas New York and directed and produced by Johannes Olszewski on behalf of One Inch Dreams, the campaign „More Than Just a Cup“, as well as our directors cut, aired today:

The integrated creative campaign aims at helping families in their times of need, by letting them stay at Ronald McDonald Houses. 

“More than just a cup” features Alexander Schulz in setting his most groundbreaking world record: Walking a slackline between two hot air balloons at a height of 7,316.273 feet (2,230 meters).

“As someone who is always eager to help others, this partnership with McCafé At Home felt like a great fit,” said Alexander Schulz, Professional Slackliner. “In this campaign, I wanted to encourage families from the RMHC to continue to be strong and show my support for such a moving cause. As the first attempt of its kind, this was an extremely intense and very challenging walk – definitely one of the boldest, if not the boldest walks I've ever done.”

Executive Producer and Director Johannes Olszewski said „The main creative idea behind the campaign is the metaphor for the amazing collaboration between the Ronald McDonald House charity and McCafé At Home. Alex walks over this narrow bridge, 7.000 feet above the ground and connects the charity with the brand. I believe in producing high profile stunts in reality vs. Computer generated images. It just feels more authentic and immersive for the audience.“

Safety systems / Fall protection: We built in the mandatory "quick release" to separate the balloons in an emergency situation which could occur if the balloons change their relative altitude too much. For fall protection, Alex used a leash and the backup rope had a monkey fist at the end of the quick release, so in case of emergency detachment, the leash ring would have been caught on the monkey fist. Luckily, the pilots did a great job, so Alex didn’t make it to enjoy an involuntary rope swing.
